I am a Level Designer well versed in Unreal Engine 4. Currently, I am adding more experience to my repertoire by pursuing a Master’s degree at Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy. I have strengthened my skills in scripting games through Blueprints and C#. I have creatively designed levels from the beginning stages of white boxing, game progression, set dressing, and lighting. I have worked collaboratively in group projects with the Programming team, Art team, and Production team. I invite you to take a look at the various projects I have been a part of.
I have also received my certificate from CGMA- Computer Graphics Master Academy in The Art of Lighting for Games.
My Story:
Ever since I was a young child I loved playing video games. I really got into video games, especially after I was sick with pneumonia at 6 years old and had to be hospitalized for a month. With nowhere to go, and too weak to go to the playroom, the nurses were kind enough to bring in a TV on a mobile cart that had a Super Nintendo game system. I played happily for many hours with Super Mario and Donkey Kong Country, but my all-time favorite was Donkey Kong Country 2. I loved listening to the music and ambient sounds. I would stay in one spot to see the character’s funny idles and check out the background scenes and how items were placed. I secretly wanted to design games when I got older, but went into Digital Media Web Design and have been doing that for about 6 years until I decided to go back to Graduate school and learn to become a game developer. Researching all possible educational facilities that would also provide the most innovative and intense program, I chose (FIEA) Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy. I decided from then on to try and learn everything I could about Level Design and Lighting to become the best by honing my skills in every class that I can take and apply them to my own worlds. I hope you enjoy my portfolio!
Photography Gallery:
I used to work with Disney as a PhotoPass Photographer and took many family photos while also adding a little extra by making “magical” shots with the guests. Magical shots are created by having them pose in a certain way and we would then superimpose a Disney character. Guests really love those photos!
Naturally, I love trying to capture the world around me with my camera to help inspire me with Level Design and Lighting.
Here are some of my favorite pictures I took when I visited Europe for summer 2017.
Fun Facts and Hobbies:
My Siberian Husky: Charlie
I absolutely love my husky Charlie. He is a very friendly, cuddle-bug, and demands all the treats and attention.
Traveling:
I love traveling to different places and I got the honor of going to England, Paris, and Rome in summer 2017.
Cosplay:
I am not a hardcore cosplayer like some of my friends, but I do love going with them to cons, fully dressed up in costume, when I can.
Neopets:
After 18.5 years, since Sept 16, 2002, I can playfully boast that I still have my Neopets account and I actually play whenever I can.
